one of our chickens got bit in the back 2 summers ago by our dog it got infected and ate away at her skin tell there was a big hole where u could see her insides we ended up putting her down, but last year our frizzle got the same thing from our chickens pecking her, i was determined not to put her down like the other one so i seperated her for like 3 weeks in our garage. she healed great and she ended up going to our neigbers to join her flock

This is flock block,its got grains,corn and other goodies in it for the chickens to peck on,its solid and once they relize what it is they love it.
