Large Brooder Box

This is fantastic, thank you for the inspiration!! I am about to convert two brooders into one, and this had the missed piece to the puzzle, without racking my brain and totally creating more work for myself. Picked up another round of chicks (and ducks) and at 40+ birds, I’m confident this will do the job for a while!

The bottom sheet of plywood is 4’x8’. The framing is ripped 2”x4”s making them 2”x2”.

Hi,
My SIL and browsed through BYC and Pinterest looking for designs on making a brooder box. I had ordered 40 new chicks and needed something better than what I had. What we found was some great pics of after and minimal instructions. I thought we would like to share how we did ours by sharing our more detailed pics. If anyone wants more info please ask and I will share.

I know this is an old post, but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate all of the step by step photos and details of what was used. I just made this same brooder based off of your pictures and it was so simple to follow! Thanks again!
