Large bulbous growth under wing of Quail

I know this isn't easy, but if that's a cyst (I have some experience with cysts in cats rather than birds) you might try soaking it in warm water to see if it drains naturally. This will only work if it's an infection from a wound that hasn't completely closed, though.

While I haven’t been able to identify any wound, it is rather difficult to see the entirety of the growth.
As there’s no harm done with a bath in warm water, I’ll give it a try, and report back.

As of now, the quail’s behaviour hasn’t changed.

Quick update, quail's still looking happy and active; I tried soaking him in a warm tub of water for some time however saw no change in the shape of the growth, nor did anything seem to be released from it.
Additionally, I've tried candling it with the brightest light I have, however was unable to see anything inside, as the light didn't penetrate the skin.
I've booked in with a specialist to try and see if they can diagnose it, I'll post an update once they let me know what they think's up.
