yes. I was really surprised. I wasn’t expecting that at all
 
Does it hurt the hen that laid that. I am not sure which ones are laying but none of them are acting off.

Generally, no. Unlike humans, or even apes, chickens have no bony pelvic ring. Look at their skeletal structure - its designed for pushing out a relatively large egg as compared to their body size - and due to the shape of an egg, even substantial increases in volume due not result in big changes to its diameter.

...and the skin, as we've all experienced at one time or another, is rather elsatic.

Im very new to having my girls, so I am learning as I go. Thank you 😊 it makes me feel better knowing that which ever one it was is probably doing just fine.
