If you want large eggs every single day for only 2-3 years, the ISA brown or red sexlink or production reds can't be beat. If you want fewer large eggs from a chicken over many more years, get a breeder quality heritage chicken such as australorp, barred plymouth rock, speckled sussex, heritage (not hatchery) rhode island red, new hampshire, and orpingtons. Easter eggers are a mix of different breeds that will lay a blue-green egg.

Eggs usually get bigger as a bird gets older, so yes, they should get bigger.

X2, my Rhode Island Red lays pretty large eggs.

Turkens ( Naked Neck's ) also lay huge eggs... very often there are double yolk eggs in the mix...
