large empty planting bucket killed my hen

I had an empty planting bucket in my coop - not for food or water storage just for projects. My favorite hen Fancy Nancy hopped up on the rim I guess and it flipped on top of her. I founder her under after I realized she was missing.

You're not the only one.

There have been numerous posts about others encountering the same problem. Thanks for posting. Someone may read this and realize the dangers an empty container can pose.

I had almost the exact same thing happen to one of my hens a year ago, it's heartbreaking. You post may encourage people to take a minute to look closely around their coop, barn, where ever their chickens roam and remove potential traps. Chickens can get themselves in trouble so easily sometimes.
