If he is up against a bird with very yellow feet, his feet will hurt him. If he is up against others with black feet, the judge will look for something else. The feet must at least be yellow on the bottom to not be disqualified. I have a great hen who has darker feet, not entirely black but not yellow either, the bottom is very yellow though. She has great type and always does well in shows.
