ok, to re-state this...

Current Offer:
I have Dorkings, EE, bantam cochins and coturnix quail.
I also picked up a pair of bantam BLRW yesterday, but not sure when she'll start laying. she's just 5 months old now.
That's it. everything else is under 2 weeks old.

available now, I can offer:
8+ Dorking (silver grey only)
12+ EE/dorking cross
18+ hen's choice (may also include black/self blue cochin as 1 girl is laying right now)

available after Oct 1 (or sooner if the hens cooperate) I can also offer:
12+ silver grey Dorking
8+ red Dorking
8+ black/self blue bantam Cochin (getting roughly 50% self blues)
8+ mille fleur bantam Cochin (also producing buff columbian now and then)
4+ bantam BLRW plus 4+ of any other variety listed above
12+ Coturnix quail (brown and gold jumbo cross)
or 18+ hen's choice (++ if you want to include quail)

because of medical issues, I can't offer a paypal alternative, sorry. I haven't got it.

don't know how else to sweeten this. i can't offer more eggs, without having more hens, otherwise you'll just get older eggs.

bantam Blue Laced Red Wyandottes (young, not laying yet)

Silver Grey Dorkings

Red Dorkings

Black and Self Blue bantam Cochins (blacks are split self blue)

Calico/Mille Fleur bantam Cochin with Blue Partridge split Mille Fleur hens.
their chicks are pictured below. These pullets will being joining the breeding pen soon. All are developing nice Mille Fleur patterning.

I might stall the thread as well, but mine on the MF cochins.... and if the wait is longer than Oct1, that is fine too :)

my offer:

6+
BBS black lav split orps
Super blue egg layers
or 8+ hens choice from the above with BBS Ams, and EE mixed in

It is just a bad time of year...heat, molt, days are already getting shorter.... I have been holding back because everytime I offer eggs, the hens don't lay.

Is that what happens! I offered 6 eggs on another swap and my hen suddenly quit laying. She's not molting. Then after having broodiness cut short the other one started laying and now it looks like she's quit too! None of them are molting yet!

I think I need to get out in that coop and figure out what's going on with those hens!

You have to take away their internet connection so they won't know when you need eggs and do this to you, that's what I had to do finally.

Ok you guys.

I checked them over, only one had mites and hardly any at that. So, I took care of that problem. However, I found what I think the problem probably is. My rooster... gentle soul that he is... must have slipped off of their backs because several of the girls have wounds on their sides. They're healing up nicely though. I got the spurs taken care of. Clipped them back with some hoof nippers and then filed the ends smooth and rounded. Hopefully he won't be wounding any more of his girls. I know he's not doing it on purpose. When I said he is a gentle soul, he is very very gentle. Not only with his girls but with other roosters and me as well. He's such a sweetie!
