Found this large growth on my oldest hen this morning. She appears to be acting fine as if nothing is wrong with her. Eats, drinks, on her own, and goes about her day as if it wasn’t there. But it is quite disturbing looking and not sure how to deal with it. Right now I have her inside away from the other.
To me it looks as if the skin has been ripped off of her neck and that is a skin flap. Do you have an especially aggressive rooster or might a predator attacked her?
