Large Incubator build - need help

It's not really that pretty. I pretty much threw it together. I did clamp on a guide bar to my plywood to get square cuts.

I'll try and take some now. Back in a bit.

Just for your information.....I own a Leahy Famous Incubator Model 1200....it will hatch 800+ eggs.....they went out of business in the early '70's.....what I believe is unique with this bator is that the heating element is on the bottom and the two thermostats are on the top....each corner has sheet metal (rounded) to move the air and it is made from 2" thick redwood.....the dimensions are 21 wide x 56 high x 47 deep.....8 trays......

You are an evil incubator cabinet genius!!!
I took one look at your cabinet and thought "Awww Mannn mine dont look that good" now I am planning to build a sexy wooden cabinet and shoe horn the auto turn gear into it.
Or I may just build a whole new one from scratch and sell the melamine unit.

Dont give up too soon, a bit of tweaking and you will get there in the end.

Regards
Trev

Thanks - that spring time hatching bug is catching. I'm not planning on giving up just yet. Good luck to you! I hopefully will have a fully working unit by the end of the week. BYCers are very helpful - I don't know what I would do without them- Thanks everyone

O.k. I did it the two shelves are within a degree or less of each other

. I still have the water heater thermostat- my question is I got a thermostat off a little giant incubator and tried hooking it up and I went BOOM! I'm not much on wiring but was the thermostat too small to run the heating source??
