Large Knot on chicken

Hello all. I have a cute 6 month old laying hen that has a knot in between her wattles. It appeared two days ago. It is hard and the size of a testicle. She is eating and laying and very active. Could this be a spider bite or insect bite? Or is her wattle infected??
Any thoughts?
