This might be a really stupid question but for some reason, quite a while back, I thought I read where hatching eggs from small hens bred to large roosters can cause egg laying issues in the next generation? Now I can't find it anywhere.
My cockerel is a Speckled Sussex (maybe about 7-7.5 lbs), my smallest pullet is a CLB (she might be around 3.5 lbs?) I want to hatch eggs out for myself in the future to replenish my own back yard flock. Would it be a problem to hatch hers? If so by color I can just weed her eggs out.
