Large White Quail web site

Sounds Questionable To Me---- 1st Off Coturnix Quail Taste Nothing Like Bob White(ever) 2nd I Dont Know Of Anyone That Has True White Meat A&m's --- Could Be Wrong Here, But Have Talked To Lotsa Folks And No One Has Had Any All White Meat A&m Quail. And 12-14 Oz Is Pretty Much Standard Size. Check The Prices Here And Ebay As Well As Eggbid--- Their Prices Arent All That Great. Just My Opinions And Observations.....

Look like english white to me, the A&M bird are to be around 16oz and white meat. Now aday everyone with a white corturnix are calling them A&M. Even if they came from a&m Unless they are white meat and large birds they have went back to the old english whites.

I am starting to wonder if there are any true A&M Quail out there. Been looking for some. People need to know its the weight and meat that makes a A&M not the color. People have got eggs from people saying they are A&M then they sell them as A&M when i check they are just the english white.

If anyone have A&M That weight 16oz. PM me I would like some......

In my own opinion no Quail tastes better than the bobwhite. I have eaten many of the other Quail species
and am in the process of hatching (supposedly) white meat A&M's and Butlers so I will find out personally for myself on these
All of the other birds that are not subs of bobwhite are to my experience as of yet not white meat or better tasting birds
GG bobwhites are definately larger than northerns or reds and are great on the table
This is my own opinion some people prefer the darker meat coturnix quail

And Randall yeah they are seriously hard to beat (chukar comes close though)

I only know of one person who "sells Texas a&ms" but their reviews are very bad and I have yet to hear of anyone with birds that have white meat. I honestly don't think they exsist anymore. Although the ones I have don't have white meat they are a very nice size and feel nice meaty, and plump when I hold them. The English are supposed to weigh like 6-8 oz. Some Texas a&ms are bigger then that but they aren't true a&ma maybe they deserve a new name? ......but they do have lighter skin and meat when raw I'm sorry I think I got off track but what I said might help someone someday.

The english white were around 10oz and light skin back in the 60s. I still remeber the albino ones also. wish i had those back.
