I think I got a spot for processing. They said it would be late october/early November, but seemed okay when I said I'd have 4 or 5 birds. Really hoping someone takes my Magpie male and I only have 4, but if he's still here by then, he'll have to go as well. It's a long drive admittedly for just 4 or 5 birds, but they'll be properly processed and it won't be much longer driving than if I actually did it all myself

Had a migraine yesterday, so no bedding was put down. Feeling better today, so I'll probably do it when I get home. The calls seem content to not have to fight with the bigger birds to swim and eat in their pen, though they still escape whenever I accidentally bump the door open and leave.

Culled two young ones. They were tough, I really wanted to keep them, but I'm trying to only have 11 or 12 chickens down at the barn come winter and these two I just couldn't justify. One was a male and the other had extra toes, but also muffled, and I didn't want the muffled to deal with come hatching season.
