The last weekend in June is the Rogue River Rooster Crow. A two day small town celebration. That includes a Parade, boat races on the river and the National rooster crowing championships. Our Silver Laced wyandotte rooster who crows continually and I were in attendance. The crow contest is a 30 minute timed event counting the number of times that your rooster crows. Larry the magnificent crowed exactly O, that's right Zipola not a peep!!
However when I put him back in the coop. He crowed 17 times in the first 15 minutes. The new National Champion Is BYE-BYE BOB, who crowed over 40+ times. Not sure of the exact number as I too bummed and busy slinking home under the teasing from all the friends that I had invited to the celebration. Next Year, Next Yea Keep practicing Larry.
