Can you still name them and eat them too? I ruined a friend in high school with that eons ago..she wanted to go to the beach with the rest of us for several weeks in the summer so she sold her cow..named Princess...poor girl, I was horrible..everytime she even thought about a hamburger, it was a princess burger and she would gag..bet she can't eat hamburger to this day and there is probably a special place in the eternal butchershop for me for doing it, lol!!

Honestly I'm not sure, they are probably a mix. I just lucked into them at a sale. I've been looking for a while, and for some reson feeder pigs are hard to find. Since I bought them yesterday, i seem to be finding more. Go figure 2 months of nothing, and then 2 places to choose from after I bought these. At least now I have places to keep in mind for next year.

Yes, I can name them and eat them. I've had livestock most of my life, and I've just always known that was the purpose. When I was younger I didn't name the ones that would be sent to the butcher. :|

goodlooking piggs.your going tobe eating alot of good bacon have an sausage this winter.

I know, I can hardly wait. My parents and my sister/brother-in-law I believe are taking one, one for my family, and my in-laws will probably take 1/2 of the other. So I just have one half to sell.

Oh man, I've never tasted home raised pork. I bet the bacon you get will be devine. I'm so jealous!

Can I come over and eat your food once they're processed?

Oh, if you have never tasted home raised pork, you are missing out. What suprised me the first time we had pigs processed was how tender the meat was. And I have a thing about keeping animals penned. So mine were out running in the pasture quite a bit. But, I could still cut the porkchops with a fork...and not have to cook them to get them tender. Yummmmmm.
