We were told about a product that mounts on a pole or tree that sends out a "laser" type beam that keeps hawks and owls away. Has anyone heard of this product, and if so, do you know where I can get more info on it?
Thanks!!

Just came across this thread. The "niteguard" sounds interesting. Has anyone here tried it? I don't see how it helps against hawk, since it's only for night use. But can it deter racoons at night?

I know a farmer who uses them successfully. His issues are with the Great Horned Owls, though. I'm not sure about 4 legged predators.

At the very minimum, they are cheap insurance.

A tall pole with an electric fence hot wire (with a ground wire run parallel to the hot wire) both on a perch like structure at the top of the poll will disrupt every owl and hawk (ok mostly owls) that land on the perch while selecting a chicken dinner from the menu.
