Violet was one in march

She had a lash egg on the poop board yesterday

She got a bath and has been back with the flock acting decent

Noticed the neck feathers today

She is acting pretty normal going in and out for the little free time offered when it is

I’m planning to just keep an eye on her but the missing feathers on the neck today made me a little more concerned again

Your hen likely has Salpingitis which is an e-coli infection. It can be treated with antibiotics. I have also treated it with Acidified Copper Sulfate when others in my flock ate some lash material form one hen and another started passing small bits of lash.

If this has been going on for a while you could also try antibiotics.

You should also start giving her calcium. Calcium citrate with vitamin D is best but you can use other forms if that's what you have, Put it in her beak and have her swallow it. You want to make sure she gets it. It will help her form shells around the eggs and push out the lash that is in her.

If you search Salpingitis here you'll find a lot of info on how others have tried to treat it.

To me it just looks like new feathers growing in unless I missed something in the pictures.

I zoomed in on the pic below

Is this new feathers after a molt?

I did notice excess feathers in the run last week

I’m so sad she’s got a reproductive infection I’m gonna try to get some amoxicillin
