I have a hen with suspected lash egg. I had on die previously of this a few weeks ago. Her symptoms come and go (which is similar to my other hen that passed) so I don't know how much of an emergency, but I would like to be proactive. I haven't been able to get a call back from the vet for the past week, so I'm looking at antibiotics I might be able to get myself at the vet supply. I was told to get an injectible oxytetracycline like LA-200 or Bio-Mycin. Does anyone have recommendations, experiences using this or know dosage? TY!!

You had one hen die recently and you think she also had been laying lash eggs?

If you have multiple birds suffering from the same thing you need to take a look at what you're feeding them.

Usually if you don't start antibiotics very quickly with these type of infections they aren't fixable.

Do you have pictures of what was laid?
What exactly do you feed your flock?

Baytril would be The antibiotic to look for.
