Lash egg?

Does this look like lash egg to you?

Yes, it does look like it could possibly be lash egg. Are there also bits of hard egg shell in there? How is this chicken behaving? I would be concerned about oviduct damage from the broken shell. I do wonder if that’s what caused the lash egg (if that’s what it is) in the first place. Can you cut that mass open and take another photo?

Unfortunately I’ve already thrown it out. From what I saw, the brown outter part felt like a shell and the inside looked yellow like yolk...

It might be a weird egg, from a reproductive disorder, since there seems to be yolk inside. What does it look like inside?

Yolky, at least on that part where it’s broken. It was a hard exterior, no cheese

Lash eggs have a beige look inside. I don’t think that it is a lash egg. But their still may be a problem with her laying. I would give her some calcium for a few days to see if it helps.

Thank you. I hope it’s not, she’s always had weird laying habits. I’ll try the calcium.

So the brown part was hard like egg shell? I agree in that case it would be some sort of malformed egg.
