Lash Egg?

What is this?? I found in the nesting box today. I'm hoping it's not a lash egg, but if it is what do I do? I have a flock of just 5 layers, and have no idea which one it may have come from. It was the size of a golf ball with tons of veins on the exterior, I didn't touch it with my hand but it felt rubbery when I broke it open, and then just had a yolk and blood clot inside.

There really isn't much you can do unless you can figure out which one laid it. Step back away from the flock and observe them carefully, and see if any are acting any different.

Looks more like an ova with follicle membrane still attached, rather than lash material.

symptoms include:
weight loss,
swollen abdomen,
ruffled feathers&depression.

i've never experienced this but apparantly it isn't something to get particularly worried about unless it keeps occuring...

That's what I was thinking, mostly because of the veins. But I don't have a rooster.
