This is my first time incubating. I had pips starting on day 19, most hatched on day 20/21. The last one to hatch was sometime Saturday night after I had gone to bed. We had no activity on the remaining 10 eggs yesterday (I had 23 hatched), so last night I candled using the light on my cell phone. 7 were not fertile eggs, 1 had a chick in it but it was only filling about half the egg so I'm assuming it died somewhere during growth. The last two eggs were almost completely dark. I couldn't really see the air cell no matter which way I turned the egg over my light.
Should I give up on these last two? Should the egg be completely dark inside? I just bought a dozen Narrigansett turkey eggs from an auction and they are now between 8-10 days old (the auctioneer didn't say how old they were), so I really want to hurry up and get them in the 'bator.
