Well obviously it did work if the dad was white, but with white silkies, I don't think they have dom. white and cuckoo silkies are so rare that there's not much chance of him masking cuckoo under his white, so he was most likey masking black or some other solid color under the white ... all of which would have produced sexlinks anyway.
