Last Minute Duckling Prep

As far as swimming, I let mine start with a few inches of warm water in a rubbermaid thing, then the tub, but always watch and only add more water if they seem to feel comfortable with it. With this new adventure of hatching I've just gone through, I've noticed when they stop splashing and playing, the water is either warm enough that they're relaxed and sleepy, or they're done.

Mine also love the low hair dryer setting, but I always put my hand next to them to feel the heat, hold it fairly far away, and hit the cool button periodically. I just use it long enough to get the initial drenching off. If it's not warm enough in the bathroom I'll put them all together in a laundry basket lined with towels and let them preen and huddle in there, and lift out and towel dry any that are super soaked.
Yeah, that’s about the same thing I do. Mine also enjoy it and it speeds up the process. :)
