Last night's visitors-- coop pics

Yeah, I probably will end up shooting it/them. I'm within 500 feet of several neighbors, so discharging a firearm is a no-go on our property. I do have a .22 air rifle that's pretty quiet and might do the trick without bothering anyone, though. I'm not keen on having a trapped raccoon in the back of our SUV, so I just need to figure out how to do the deed. Anyone ever had experience with dealing with a trapped raccoon? I'm getting a bit ahead of myself here, as I haven't yet caught anything... but I expect I'll have something in the trap soon, if not tomorrow a.m.

what cam is that, great quality photos. sorry for you loss, we lost 3 guineas two night ago i'm assuming by a racoon, one was beheaded, one was de winged, and the other was just mauled, the three carcasses were still in the cage. we had them in a wire dog kennel as they were too small to put with the rest of the flock, or we thought. I had a trap out last night with no luck and set it again tonight with some salmon wet catfood as bait.

The coon in the second picture actually looks larger than the two in the first picture.

Animal control will take care of them for you . Some they dispatch most they relocate. Those are some big suckers ! Good luck

relocation is not an option..they are pests and animal control will not help you...the best advice I have read on here is to to fill a trash can or barrell with water and drop the trap in coon and all....go inside for a while and have some coffee. then grab a shovel.

From what I've been ready on the forum lately, most momma coons are now out with their young being taught to hunt. The kids should be almost full grown by now, so what you have maybe a family of coons.

Your going to need more traps.
