So lately we've been collecting eggs and then very early the next day (still dark out chickens still resting) we have been finding more eggs. Now we usually collect "all" the eggs up by 4:30 a little bit before they go in to perch so how come we're finding eggs in the morning before the chickens are awake? ( The eggs belong to 3 of our young hens so is it because they are younger? )

It's far more common for a layer to awake in the predawn hour prior to sunrise to lay an egg than it is to have the urge to lay in the evening. But it can happen. The egg cycle generally relegates laying to the morning hours, but it's set individually, so each hen can be different.

So its nothing odd then? Does it also have to do with them being younger too and may it change?
