Late Hatcher

I hatched 7 eggs out of 24, on days 21-22, on day 24 I was going to remove remaining eggs that didn’t hatch and found one with a hole in it and had to help the chick out, he’s alive and doing well except for one leg seems messed up, it stays bent and won’t straighten out, I was thinking of making some type of brace or something that can help loosen it up so it has mobility any suggestions?

In my experience, late hatchers do seem to have problems - especially leg issues or unabsorbed yolks. If he just hatched, the leg may just be weak right now. Anything else look strange: toes, leg rotated out, etc?

A pic would be helpful for suggesting an approach.

Toes seem to curl in, I made a little foot cast to try to keep his toes out straight just to see if it will work. I’ll get a pic tomorrow
