Late maturing Welsummer cockerel?

When are they supposed to start laying? I have a few the same age (not welsummers) that are starting to get pretty red so I figure I have about a month if that. I know every breed is different but I don’t put too much stock in the estimates any more. Mostly cause I’m too lazy to keep track of when they “should” and when they do.
According to online 20-24 weeks.

20 weeks / 6 months give or take.

I have had three Welsummer Hens, usually, they start laying later then most other breeds. I think my last hen started around six months. Strangely, they won't do the egg squat until about nine months, I am not sure why. That being said, mine have always been really friendly and who doesn't love those dark, speckled eggs.

Yeah, of the 6, the two Welsummers are definitely the friendliest. The two Barnevelders are the most timid birds I have of multiple breeds. I actually like trying to catch them because I get alot of exercise.

Just chased one of my Barnevelders for a good 5 minutes straight. She figured out that she could run around some low hanging branches of a tree and we went round and round the tree several times before leading me on a multiple lap chase around coop and runs.
