Late Winter Quilt Block Swap -----> March 1 due date

Good morning, I have 17 blocks finished but have to lay them aside. My husbands granddaughter gave birth to a baby girl last night and she was 6 weeks early. Mom and baby doing fine and the baby weighs 5lbs4oz. I have her baby quilt cut out but thought I had plenty of time to get it done. Ooops! I forget that babies come when they want too. I have the crocheted baby blanket almost finished but still have a few more evenings work left on it. This makes his fourth great. On my side there is only one so far but another due in July. My daughters baby (girl) is due in May so I have two more yet to make. I just had my 73rd birthday on the 29th so my cup runneth over with grandbabies and great grandbabies. Between us there are 32 grands and 5 great grands so far.

I have the baby quilt top almost finished so might get to layer it and quilt it by Thursday. Maddie is still in NICU but doing fine. Will post a photo of the quilt when it's done. Here is a photo of Maddie.

Marty, do we have a final count as to the number we need to make for this swap?

Not yet, but I'll close the swap entry today, and do a final count for us. I think the plan was that everyone would still make and get 25, but we might have duplicates of some. I'm actually making 2 different ones min, just in case. I really want to try to make sure we all get 25, but they will all (maybe) be different, even if its only color differences.

In face, if anyone wants, I'd encourage you to consider using a few different color combos on your blocks, to make them different, in case we have to have 2 from one person here and there.

I will have that count today, or maybe tomarrow. Building goose building today.
