I'm glad everyone is fine. Something broke a ways up from us and the water came in so fast, My husband and I and our 3 dogs had to be rescued by boat. I had let my chickens out to free range and they were fine and my cats when it started raining hard had come home. My husband saw the problem starting and started putting everything up so Thank God we had very little loss and a huge mess but when we got home yesterday the clean up began.
thank goodness it wasn't worse. I'm sure you feel it was bad enough.

Yes I'm glad it wasn't much worse and yes I saved my eggs!!!! that was top priority

. Cleaning river silt off of floors is a job by its self. We may have to get a new couch and recliner, of course hubby is hoping I decide his recliner is toast, gee wonder why

. I was very lucky we didn't have carpet in the rooms that got wet. well it got a little in our bed room and hall but really nothing a shop vac and fans can't handle.

Oh my goodness! I am so glad everyone is okay and you all have a wonderful attitude about it all:) Roll up the sleeves and repair it all...exactly how we did after Katrina. What is lost is a loss but things can be replaced and more memories can be made. I've never been close to anyone and ya'll feel like friends but I'm happy to have the worries;-) Be safe and I wish a speedy clean up for all.
