thank you for setting me straight,

Marty has mine in a box!! I am at my mothers and only have my phone to follow the threads and replying is nearly impossible with this silly little keyboard!!! :)

I'm still working on my blocks but wanted to post a photo of the baby and will add one of the quilt I rushed to finish in another post.

Wow how beautiful, and for the stippling how did you transfer the pattern? Oh and you need a walking foot correct? I am now inspired to do another baby quilt, how big were your blocks? I wish I lived close to a quilter. I need to find a group, they gotta be out there especially since this is not that big of a town.

I free motion the stippling and use a darning foot. A friend that is a Master Quilter gave me information that I'll pass along. Usually when you do "free motion quilting" you lower the feed dog, but it isn't necessary as there is plenty of room and it helps control the bobbin thread. The pieces are 2x8 that form the "split rail fence" pattern and the finished blocks were 8x8.

I live in a town of less than 950 people and our nearest town is 15 miles away with a pop. of about 30,000 and it has three quilt shops. There are many quilters here so there should be some where you are. We have a navy base here in the desert so that's why we have that many people in town.
