I've been watching for the little card to tell me to go to the post office. Will let ya'll know when I receive them. I've been working and working- on the job and on days off more to do at home! I don't know when I'll get back to sewing but I can show off the blocks til I do:)

Here is a photo of the kitty cat quilt I'm making. Mindy had to help me of course. Each cat is a different color.

I hate this part.

I hate waiting for word of safe arrivals, it drives me nuts. Its' worse than waiting for goslings to hatch.

The cats are so beautiful! I may have to save that pic so I can look at it and make one myself;-) Are you going to be putting anything in the rectangle? That would make a.great picture quilt wall hanging too. I've made a few picture quilt squares by sewing 3 sides of a piece of clear plastic onto quilt block, folding over edges of fabric onto edge of plastic and quilt the fabric like any other quilt. By leaving the right.or left side of plastic piece open a pic can be switched out and dust is least likely to get into pic pocket.

I'm thinking of appliqueing another cat in the middle with the baby's name embroidered on it or another shape of some kind. I can do the embroidery on my machine and then cut the shape I decide on and then applique it. I'd be afraid to just embroider the name on it and it not be centered. I'm not that accomplished with my embroidery machine yet to just do it directly on the quilt. I like your idea of the picture quilt.

I know how you feel Marty. I felt the same way when I hosted a granny square swap last year. I worried some would get lost in the mail but everyone received theirs so it worked out ok. yours will too, I'm sure. I am watching the mailbox for my blocks but nothing yet. The baby quilt I'm working on is my last quilt on my list akthough I have two quilttops made for myself that needs to be layered and quilted but I plan on doing it by hand since I pieced them by hand. I can start thinking about Christmas gifts soon.

I had a wonderful surprise when I got out of the hospital today, my husband surprised me with my blocks and they are soooooo pretty thank you everyone,
