Latest quail breeding pen

I am keeping mine in the end of the shop where the boat used to be parked. It is a big area with an open front. We have lots of cold weather so I have 2 tarps I am going to hang up when its real cold and lights on timers. I have no idea how well quail hold up to -10 to 30 degree temps for extended periods.

Very nice, but I would add 1/4 hardware cloth along the front where the squares are quite large. Snakes, rats, mice and other unwanted critters may enter. Coons can put their nasty paws right in there. Otherwise great looking pen!

what are coons? lol
i live in england,so we dont really have snakes about or coons. seen the odd mouse, but my chickens will take care of them.

Coons as in Raccoons...do you have skunks, or any long armed night time critters??

ah right lol no we dont have skunks or racoons. just weasels and stoats/polecats, simler to ferrets, but i dont see them very offern.
do u get many foxes over there?
