Lav Orp x Black Cochin = Lavender Cochin?

Just wanted to mention the leg color too. I believe the cochins have yellow and the Orps have white so you would have to breed back for leg color. I used a mottled cochin this last year in my mottled project. I have one very nice mottled pullet with yellow legs. I will breed her back to white legged cockerel. I have one very nice mottled pullet with white but feathered legs. I will breed her back to clean legs also. I will cull all the feathered legs this next generation and yellow legs and keep the better of cross back.
I will let you know how it works out

Bama, sounds like a fun project.. Ive seen Cochin's at a local auction here that had white skin, nice big birds to..but they were white Cochin's, they sure looked pure, but may have been crossed with something beings they had the white skin/shank color
