Lavendar maran breed

Hi- have feeling this is a cockerel, but not 100% sure. Prob around 3 months old. Any thoughts?

It looks a little suspect... (keep in mind I haven't much experience raising Marans) But I think it could go either way. Part his neck feathers to see if there is any new pins coming in that are shiny and pointy. Do the same with the back feathers, especially near the tail. If it's a hen, the new feathers will be round and pretty muted in color; but roosters should have shiny, brilliant points coming in.

Or, you could just wait for the 4 am crow.

I'm not seeing anything that says rooster at this point,

I do not see a Rooster but maybe in another 6 weeks you can put up some new photos and by that time if this is a Rooster you will have the pointed feathers and you wont need to ask as it will be obvious ........
