Our Lavendar Orp (2 yrs old) had an episode about 5 days ago where she seemed to have a gush of fluid, egg white like, before she came out for the day. Then she seemed ill. We cleaned her up, wormed everybody (we have 3), and started CORID treatment (she had this badly as a chick, the conditions are hot and humid, they do drink out of puddles). She seemed better for a couple of days, no more nasty bottom, but today she doesn't seem well. Lying down, eyes closed, not eating or drinking. I am at a loss. She's not a big layer and hasn't laid since her last (hard) molt earlier this spring.
Any ideas? I guess we'll pull her into the crate and hydrate (it is super hot here). Our chickens don't like being separated from the flock, I hate to do that to her. Nobody is bothering her, the other two are sort of standing near her.
I am worried she got into some moldy bird seed, would that cause liver poisoning? What would the symptoms of that be? Is there anything to do about it?
