Lavendar orpington??

I got this pretty girl at TSC. She was not labeled. After I did a little brief research, I thought she was a Lavendar Orpington. But look at her comb and beak...they are black and not single comb (looks like maybe a rose comb?). Her coloring is exactly like another lavendar orpington I have, but she has a typical red single comb. Any thoughts on what she might be or what mix she is? She also has almost frizzled feathers (shredder gene). And, from what I understand, is a lavender orpingtion trait. She is 11-12 weeks old.

Her comb doesn't look right for an Orpington, maybe some form of Easter Egger? She's beautiful whatever she is!

There are lavender Wyandottes out there now, so that's my guess. Either that or a beardless lavender Ameraucana.

hmmm do Wyandottes have black combs? Maybe Ameraucana ...she does have little tufts on her ears...but that still doesn't explain the flat black comb... unless I'm missing something.

Dark combs are pretty common in many black or lavender breeds. Usually they will change to red by the time the chicken becomes an adult. She doesn't have black skin-- you can already see the red on her face.

I have two Lavender Wyandotte chicks and they look exactly like her, just younger. Their feathers are also weird like that. I thought the weird feathers had to do with them being raised with a mother hen in my coop instead of being hand raised by me, I have never heard of the shredder gene.

Lavender Wyandotte. The black features are common on the faces of lavenders as others have mentioned. The shredder gene is not breed specific, but lavender gene specific.

I had not heard of shredder gene either, until it turned up in two of my 15 lavender EE. Are these feathers as effective in insulating in temperature extremes as normal feathers, @HollowOfWisps , do you know? Are they as effective in shedding water (rain, snow)? How about wind?

Makes sense. Yes her face is very red! The comb is just so flat like a rose and not like a single comb at all and I had not heard of a lavendar Wyandotte. Is it possible that her legs will become yellow instead of grey? Thanks for the info!
