Just curious about what colors we could potentially get. I've read that it really isn't advantageous to breed Lavender to anything other than another Lavender, unless you want a black split to improve on genetics down the line. We came across a Lavender Roo on craigslist when we decided to get another rooster back in July. The woman we picked him up from has an all Lavender flock. I bought three Ameraucana juveniles from a local hatchery (2 black, 1 blue) not long after that. They won't be laying until the new year. We aren't breeding for standard or anything, just planning to expand our flock as our original girls are past their prime egg laying years (4 Buff Orpingtons, will be 5 next spring).

With the blacks you'll get blacks split to lavender. With the blue you'll get black splits and blue splits.
