Very nice Tony! Your lav mottled boy is looking handsome.
I see you got a black mottled chick there. Do you know what match up made that or are the chickens all grouped together yet? Thanks for sharing pics. I have a mottled hatch due Monday and can't wait to see them.
Hi Jody, I have them all penned together now, so I have no clue who the parents are of the mottled chick. I ended up w/ 6 lavs, 1 black mottled, alot of blacks and 1 buffish-brownish no clue what color to call it chick, I only know its an orpington, I must`ve mixed in the egg by mistake. Oh well, its kinda cute anyway. lol Good luck on your mottled hatch monday.
The mottled lav roo is huge, he`s as arrogant as he is beautiful. lol
I have been to Tony's (we both live in same town) and now have two of his orp pullets, a black split to lavendar and a red/partridge. Let me vouch - those pictures don't even do the birds justice, they are BEAUTIFUL! I have total lavendar orp envy ... can't wait for spring, hoping for extra hens! And yup, the roosters are magnificent! Bravo!
