Normally, that red, I'd say cockerel, unless they were flushed from being handled. their combs aren't that wide... My US aracauna cockerel who's right behind your's, is so obviously a cockerel, even if his coloring wasn't the male coloring.
Give it a few weeks.

They had definitely been handled and both took a while to be caught. They look different to the definite boys so I am hopeful. Really hopeful x
