we have introduced the same tailed lavender roo to our black clean faced rumpless araucana (colonca) hens. Time to soon set some of there eggs to go for the split black/lavender and rumpless chicks.

Something very special has came up in our previous hatches with the tailed hens..Once the chick feathers out a bit i will post a pic of this special chick...

sandypaws, its gonna be awhile on these, we have the tufted tailed versions in split black/Lavender.

we are now just working on getting the rumpless version in split black/lavender should have some within the next month..

Then phase 3 begins..
We hope to be breeding these grown chicks by summer, if all goes well, maybe by end of this year there will be some lavenders or split lavenders Large fowl araucana to go around..
When we start something we wont stop till we have what we set out to get...but it is tons of fun to
celebrate.gif

I am happy to know their is a couple out their that care about chickens as much as you both do. These araucana are so cool I have been thinking about maybe adding a few sometime soon

The tufts and the rumpless thing is so cool I am not breeding so maybe I could pick up some culls from you? The other colors sound really cool! I can't wait to see this "speacial chick"

I know i know..LOL
I don't want to post him/her yet till i know for sure what i think color it is. Its also carrying the lavender gene to..

So if it turns out to be what i think it is..we will be able to do it in a lavender phase and its standard color as well, these guys would be the first of these colors in large fowl araucana in the USA being seen as well as the solid lavender color..well have to hold back for just a Lil while yet on showing this bird..
soon the pic will come, either way..
