My husband & I are trying to figure out the parents of the three chicks that recently hatched. I know it'll be easier once they've feathered out some but we're impatient, curious & want to know now

We have a chick that were sure is from a Lavender Ameraucana roo over either a Buff Orpington, Speckled Sussex, Black Sex Link or Jersey Giant.

My question is since the Lavender gene takes two lav genes to express will the Ameraucana color be experessed as black?

Here's the chick in question, any help is appreciated!

That appears to be a black chick. If the only male was a lavender ameraucana then it will be black split lavender. It will now be an Easter Egger because you crossed the breeds.
