A friend of mine has a Lavender Orpington roo in a pen with Silver Laced Polish hens and just for fun, we were talking about hatching some. I'm not concerned with getting this color on a bird that conforms to either parent breed standard, I would just like to know what it would take to get a lavender laced bird. Will the first generation be all black split for lavender, or will some lacing still show? And then what? Seems like I've seen Lavender Laced Wyandottes, so now I'm just curious about how to recreate the color and pattern.

Or, if it's impossible with this combo (which, now that I think about it, it may be?) what should I expect?

Very interesting question. Try this website, but beware, it can be addictive. Good luck

When you try the chicken calculator for the polish parent use the sebright kind of lacing E^R,Db,Pg,Ml,Co
For the solid orp you could also try E^R,Ml instead of E
They could also hide Pg,Co (if you are lucky)

Pullets:
lavender patterned silver laced
Ratio = 1/16384 = 0.006103515625%, minimum of animals to breed: 16384

The result of breeding two F1s together in this cross! Ugh, don't like dem odds. LOL!
