Well, Nelmsy, if you can get some I would recommend them - they are beautiful, lay lovely white eggs, are quite friendly if handled early and don't go broody (well, mine haven't!). They can fly quite well, but once they know where they should live they don't choose to stray, and they are lighter birds than some others so don't need so much food (apparently). I was very lucky - both my chicks turned out to be pullets. I'll try to upload some pics!
