Lavender Muscovy

I think your boy could compete with mine!
This is my own battleship over a month ago, so he's bigger now.

I'm not located anywhere near you (or know anything about the price of your drake) but I do think he's beautiful.

Yours is gorgeous! I love his dark chocolate colors, he looks like a calm inquisitive fellow :)

He really is calm most of the time, but he is just starting to get sexually active and gets quite excited sometimes.

hahaha yes I have one like that too, they are in the teenage stage. Too funny! It's amazing to watch how fast they grow up, and then all the wacky things they start to do while finding their individual groove

Gorgeous drake !!

So what do they think Muscovies are? Mini geese? Or maybe their own separate species? That's kinda cool!

Yes, some people think they're more similar to a goose than a duck. I'm not one that dives into genetics and I've never had geese so I went online and found this page.

http://www.moosemanorfarms.com/about-muscovy-ducks.html

"Since Muscovy are genetically dissimilar to other domestic waterfowl, many folks believe that they're more of a goose than a duck. For instance, they eat grass, as do geese, have a similarly long egg incubation period of 35 days (compared with 28 days for ducks), and they don't quack."

I've always called them ducks and that's how it's going to stay!
