We have a lavender so I was totally wrong and the dark black ones ARE sugars……. Here is a picture they both have feathered feet one does have a light small dot on the top of its head…. What ya think? The other little tiny gray one is our silky with lavender olive ROOIf Sugar is the mom, then the male chicks will have a head spot. The females will not have a head spot. If the black chicks came from a non barred hen (for example a blue) then they will not be sex-linked.![]()

We got three lavender from our two lavender hens n Roo ….. the other two are actually sugars who is a barred EE. I got it now finally I actually pulled the eggs as the y were hatching under kiwi to really make sure about this. She’s the friendliest mama let me hold them n everything. I need to know bout those two I’ll get good pics n send them for opinion on if one is a cockerel or not. since they are sex linked now from your info.If Sugar is the mom, then the male chicks will have a head spot.
