Lavender breed true and will only result in lavender offspring when you mate lav to lav. Blues do not breed true and produce blue, black and splash.

I just thought of a question. What would you get if you cross a Lavender and a Blue? Would you get a higher % of the Lav/Blue and less % of the Black & Splash and would there be more mixes of the colors like Lav/Blue & black?

the chicks are awesome! best of luck with them. If by chance you end up with a few to many roosters that need a new home, most definately add me to your list, I would love to buy one or two. I`m in Connecticut and would enjoy a little road trip to come down there. I`m figureing with all the interest you`ve received from other BYCer`s, maybe I would be number 50ish on the list? lol

I have to say that your chicks are outstanding!!!

I really am going to need another coop in the spring!

My DH thinks I'm kidding, but I'm really not. I most definitely am going to need some lav.'s to got with my blue, black, and buff's!
