Anyone have knowledge on sexing lavender orpingtons? Purchased straight run at a few days old. They are now about 5 weeks. Their combs seem the same to me but tail feathers are clearly different in length. I know time will tell just trying to mentally prepare. I'll be so sad to give 1 or both away! Thank you for the feedback.

At 5 weeks, with no obvious signs of a cockerel, they're too young to sex. Sometimes you get an early cockerel, but not this time. Wait and repost pics when they're about 8 weeks old.

ETA, I typed that out before I was able to open the pics. I don't see a ton of comb growth, but I don't like the colors on those wattles. They may both be cockerels. I'd revisit this in a few weeks.

Update at the 10 week mark. Is it safe to say I have a male and female?
