Lavender Orpington- almost 8 weeks

Is this a pullet? The comb and wattles throw me off. 8 weeks on Thursday. Thanks!!

Looks a little cockerel ish to me.... HOWEVER, I've been through this a few times, LO's are going to keep you guessing much longer than others. My avatar is a Pullet and Cockerel at 12weeks. I didn't know until 11 weeks and he was not crowing yet, I just knew by the differences between the 2. So fingers crossed for you....

Im gonna say cockerel. One of my Lavender Orpingtons cockerels was like that at 8 weeks.
My other hid it until around 16 weeks

I have have to giggle, good ole Lavender true to form, MIGHT be a pullet, MIGHT not be..... neck feathers look a little boy hackle but LO feathers are just weird in general. Can't see the legs. Wing feathers... sighhhh Pullet? I hope you get a lot more guesses. There are at least 2 threads where LO's kept peole guessing until lay or crow resolved. Here's a few comparison pics since you said 8 weeks....

I had seen that thread.

My Blue laced gold wyandotte made me worried she was the only pullet out of her hatch.

I'm pretty hopeful, poutrybonkers told me that his pullets have had black combs like mine.

Sorry OP, did not mean to turn this from your Lavender Orpington. Same issue though, just different breed.....
