Great new set up you built for them! Love the idea of a dresser with the drawers pulled out. That is so creative!

I heard fighting in their brooder, so I put them in a larger area of the big coop, hoping to give them room, to them selves, and at night put them in with older hens. Yesterday when they went in I observed of the 10 I kept...one lavender orpington hen, one blue orpington hen, and a barnyard hen. (The rest being mostly lavender orpington roosters. A sea of gray and only one female.)This morning 2 older hens were hassling them, but in the night I could tell one bird got squished from everyone huddling in a new place. Anyone want to take a stab at who got squished?

Sorry you only ended up with one lavender Orpington hen!

Yep. I have 3 other hens non-gray, from that group, but I owe a lady 2 hens. She will get a black, and a black &white barred hen. Last hen is blue orpington, I am keeping.
